This bible was a high quality production, and the interior is in very good shape considering its age. The front and back covers are completely detached, and there is some wear on the gold imprinting, but the paper itself is in good condition and still turns with ease. Most of the illustrations are loose, and the edges are somewhat curled and frayed from sliding around and not being placed careully back into place before the book was closed. The handwritten entries in the family pages are still legible as of 2023, and have been entered into the Past Perfect program at the Black Hills Historical Society in Rapid City, South Dakota, where the Bible now resides. |
